Level, well shaped and polished frets are the foundation of good playability on any guitar, so that action can be set however you like it without buzzes or choking.
Whether it is a first step for a brand new guitar (very few manufacturers do it at the factory) or to rejuvenate a well worn guitar, my Fret Dress process will bring your guitar back to its best and incudes:
- Neck straightened
- Frets levelled
- Frets re-crowned
- Fret ends dressed

Refrets
Frets are ultimately a consumable item and do wear out, and after a few fret dresses there will come a point where they need to be replaced.
The basic process is:
- Neck straightened
- Frets removed
- Fretboard levelled if required
- New Frets installed
- Full fret Dress
- Normally a new nut is required
- Full Set Up
There are a number of variables that can considerably vary the amount of work involved in a refret, such as binding, finished maple boards, stainless steel frets, Gibson nibs, etc) so please call to discuss your requirements.
