Used Guitars as they should be!
I usually have a small number of carefully selected and fully prepared instruments for sale via my Reverb shop. I specialise in good quality instruments from Fender, Epiphone and PRS SE ranges and my philosophy is simple - buying a used guitar should be a pleasure and you should receive an instrument that is everything you hoped it would be.
Sadly, the reality can be different. Electric guitars are complex items, mixing mechanical, electrical and natural wooden components, and it takes time and patience to learn the skills to properly adjust, maintain and care for a instrument. Many people buy them with high hopes of learning to play, but for all sorts of reasons the passion fizzles out and and many used guitars appear on the market neglected, dirty, badly maintained and often priced unrealistically compared to well looked after examples.
But all is not lost, because that is where I come in!
My Preparation Process
All of my guitars receive the same process:
- Deep clean and polish the body and neck and apply quality guitar wax
- Clean all electrical components and correct any soldering defects. Replace crackly switches and jacks with quality components
- Strip, deep clean and lubricate the bridge
- Check all frets and dress as necessary, often including a full level, crown and polish.
- Check and adjust the nut where necessary
- Restring with quality strings and full set up including neck relief and angle, string action, intonation, nut action, pickup height and tremelo operation (where fitted)
- Play it for hours to ensure all is well!

All of my guitars can be set up to your specific preferences before despatch, and I can usually accommodate any upgrades or mods you might like to make it your own.
Pricing
My pricing includes postage to the UK (but I cannot ship internationally, sorry).
All my guitars are sent using a Parcelforce safely packed in a proper guitar box, and I can also supply hard cases at cost if they do not come with one.
Although I mainly sell on Reverb, local customers are always welcome to come and try before they buy!
Why buy from me?
I never claim my guitars are the cheapest of their model available, and let’s face it, there are often plenty of options. But used guitars are a bit of a lottery and are rarely properly set up and sadly very often in poor condition.
If you want one where you can watch the video and see it has been professionally prepared, which has been thoroughly cleaned of many years worth of other people’s dirt and grime, had a full fret dress and been restrung and fully set up so it plays and feels like the guitar you hoped it would be out of the box, these are excellent value.
